I have a 1986 Toyota pickup and I wanted to pull my windshield before painting it.. So i began to pull it when I saw that someone had installed it themselves.. they fagged it all off and stuck silcone everywhere they could think ... after 3 hours of scraping this trash off.... i finaly pulled the glass. now im not sure how to install a new one.....because the guy used glue instead of a gasket im not sure if these windshields need gaskets or just glue....... anybody do this themselves before ? let me know!!

On my 88 there is no gasket ,just some locating clips that you replace & it is held in with glass adhesive, then the polished trim !
