So I got off work last night and I was driving home. When I would push in the clutch, the engine would idle up and down like it was surging or something. It only did it when I pushed in the clutch. When I got home, antifreeze was pouring out of the truck. Does anyone know what this problem could be? I thought it was the thermostat so I changed it, but thats not it.
try check if your pedal or slave and fork is hitting anywires, and as far as the other things more info would help
right? thats what i was thinking.......... nah, but in all seriousness.... we need more info man. did it surge while the clutch was out and in neutral also? or just when the clutch was in? also, did your temp gauge go all the way up? did it over heat? by antifreeze pouring out did you mean out of the overflow or from where?? specifics man..... gotta be as precise as possible since we are not there to see for ourselves.
Hey there. I'm wondering if you were able to resolve this problem on the antifreeze. As you can see, one of my friend called me the other day and told me that he is having a problem on his vehicle because it would sometimes die out of nowhere and he noticed that the antifreeze is somehow leaking which is quite a similar scenario to yours. So if you happen to have a solution or how did you fix this, can you please tell what did you do.
