Sorry if I seem harsh, but I see way to many people throwing away perfectly good parts (which equals $) when all they have to do is test each component/operation to see if it's bad or not. Think your wires are bad? Buy and ohm meter and test their resistance. A decent manual will tell you exactly how to test all of your components like the ignitor to see if it is functioning within spec. The carb is the same thing. Check each component of the system (and a carb is a simple system), reset everything to spec. It's all in the manual. Only fix or replace what is BROKEN.
truck is getting towed to a shop tomorrow night and having the carb rebuilt over the weekend. as well as an oil change . guy said no more than 100 for the towing and rebuild since i have the parts and all, then the oil change shouldnt be much either.
