    Sorry for the poor quality pic, and I'm at work so can't get a better one at the moment.. but what is this bracket supposed to be? I'm thinking I'm going to cut it off.. 20180325_125056.jpg

    It looks like either a support bracket for a console or radio mount. I’m not sure if it’s factory or not.

    it is odd.. just thought maybe someone had something similar... it looks welded on and painted original color, so im thinking it was stock.. either way, i think it's coming off lol

    It's likely the center console, though it was more of a trim piece than a console. On the later years you also had some trucks with two gauges down there for voltage and oil pressure, but the bracketry for that is farther forward in the cab closer to the dash

    Yeah I have those two gauges on my 80 sr5, they attach right to the dash. No bracket anywhere on my floor

    Mine has part of a console, truck originally had buckets and a console.
    Anyways, based on how tall that bracket looks I'm not sure - the consoles for these trucks were only about 3" tall and the bolt holes would be down lower toward the floor, like only 1" or so from the bottom.
