why are so many things happening to me :(

I was going to put my mechanical fan back on since my e-fan broke.. but then the bolt broke!! one of the ones that holds the fan -> pulley -> water pump.

I think i made a really stupid mistake: when I originally took the fan off, and put nuts on the bolts, I didn't put any washers on them to space the nuts.. so when I was trying to get the nut off ithe whole bolt started turning, I was thinking maybe it would come out but then it just snapped in half!! :brickknock:

time for a new waterpump? or is there a way to replace the bolts? (I couldn't really see a way though)

those studs are threaded on. when you buy a new water pump they come with new ones. If you decided to repalce the water pump they are cheap, I think my new one was about 25$. But if its good you are i no way sol. Just figure a way to get it out and you can replace the studs.

Yeah Patrickgraven's right they are studs.Try to drill it out without buggering the threads.

ok, I just started on getting it out. can I get these studs at a store like home depot? and does anyone know what size/threading I will need, since I imagine drilling it would pretty much destroy it..

i dont see why 3 studs would be a problem

But if you just drill/ knock out the stud you can just run a nut and bolt and be fine, Its not like they balance the pulley off the water pump.
