i put a fresh slave in there about a year ago. so ill probably just drill a hole so it works like my old one. i tried the old throwout arm but it was slightly different inside. the shifter is actually back a hair from where it was, but still fits the hole. i still wanna heat and bend the section of my shifter above the pivot ball. that one you had on there fell apart. i guess blue painters tape doesnt hold a shifter together. haha. been there, done that.

anyways. i didnt really get any pics other than these 2. start to finish today was less than 6 hours with hand tools and our tow truck. lol.

as you can see...the original owner, who had it until 2007, didnt do normal gasket maintanence. which i love. means nobody half assed things and made it worse. ill take lack of over hacked anyday. most of that is from a valve cover gasket that was in a few peices. entire engine room and frame looked like that until i pressure washed what i could a few months back. lol.

sidenote, great trick when youre covered in that sticky gunk that wont wash off....use WD40 as a solvant. doesnt stink and it slides right off. wish i knew that years ago. lol. i was looking for thinner or gas and though why not try. haha.

i got the swap done today. found a W52 truck to get the shorter clutch slave pushrod and a new speedo gear. i sorta snapped the old one. lol. the gating on 2nd is a little different. but i guess ill get used to it. and i already know i wanna shorten the overall height of the back of my console. thats why its in but not finish worked yet. ill adjust it down soon. but i drove to the gas station and back with a huge smile. lol. and i forgot how awesomely low it sits :D

i put a fresh oil change and tranny oil in, new antifreeze, new fuel filter, and a fresh header collector gasket. sounds like i need to readjust my valves though. somebody requested i make a video from the cab, so im gonna get on making a mount for the camera in there. lol.

i dont have removable headrests. if i did it would be much easier. and i dont want holes exposed between the seats on the cab. so ill have to make something clean behind the seats that ties together.
