Anyone tried a VQ35 swap before. I have access to a crashed Infinity G35 sedan for pretty cheap. Should I get it just to have for the next project or fit it in my 76 bagged hilux? Maybe they are to bulky and wont fit anything? ????

You might really want to take a hard look at this, maybe get some engine bay measurements from both vehicles, rough motor dimensions. I worked on my friend's turbo 350z and those motors are stuffed in the bay so damn tight, makes a lot of stuff really tough to get to

further research led me to the answer. Not worth it. The VQ35 is so complex in electronics that any disruption of the LAN/CAN wiring by trying to splice or eliminate even a simple door pin sensor or evap pressure sensor would render it useless

Newer engines arent really the best idea for a swap unless youre guna bypass a bunch of stuff
