Driver side turn signals not working. 3 days ago the driver side turn signals in the back stoped working, front would turn on but not blink the arrow in the dash board would stay on but not blink and no longer made the ticking sound turn signals make. So I thought it was the bulb and went and got new bulbs checked both front and back, bulbs are fine. Now the front does not turn on also but green arrow in the dash board turns on but no blink. Is there a relay or something? Any one come across this problem?

    Right side works fine.

Bad socket or bad ground. On my 1978 the front valance panel acts as ground for both front turn signals. Try removing the screws that hold the turn signal assembly to the valance, clean the sheet metal, then replace.
Next, check the socket. If its really corroded, replace it.

On a 72-78 the Flasher relay is behind the stereo panel. Pull it off and make sure the mounting surface is clean. It also grounds thru itself.

    Not sure what you drive

    "The right side works fine."
It's not the relay. Or both sides wouldn't work.
    Ground or bad socket.

Do your parking lights work on the bad side?
If yes, its not the ground. If neither work, its the ground or a bad socket.

Did you ever get this figured out? My driver side turn signal just blinks once and then stays lit, only until I start cranking the wheel to make my turn and then it starts blinking..

Do your headlights act funny when switching from hi to low?

Could be the clockspring turn signal stalk assembly. I had to take mine apart and clean up the contacts when i was rewiring the truck

I don't thick a 78 has a clockspring, my 1980 does not have one. It could be a bad wire connection,do you have a schematic on it?
