Yes that is true. But you need to take the contacts out first, and take them to the dealership, because there are a few different contacts. And just remember how you took them out.
how do you take them out?? i was talking to my GFs uncle who used to be a mechanic at Toyota and he said starters dont go out.. all i need to do is pull the connector out and turn it around.. but if new connectors are only $10 then i'd rather put new ones in
uhhh . . . they dont - why then do they waste their time with replacement starters . I wonder if he meant something else!
I 2nd that . . . Then while your tinkering, Upgrade the starter cabling and chassis grounds to heavier gauge . . . Makes everything work so much better . . .
well, i had to go somewhere yesterday and decided i'd just try and start it.. fired right up.. i was like "what the hell?".. so yea.. she runs again.. yayyy!
