So i have been reading threw some threads and have seen differant answers and i have a question... i have 4" blocks and will be getting 3" lowering leafs this weekend....am i going to have to C notch my frame? I have airshocks in the rear so that coul help right? As far as being able to raise it up if need to correct? Or will i still have to do a notch?

If you are combining both the blocks and springs for a 7'' drop, then I would. Easy way to see is to go measure 3'' up from your axle, and see how much room you will have until it hits the frame.

You will most likely be sitting axle to frame, with no suspension travel....

I know 4" blocks will make you bottom out on the axle fairly easily without good shocks, so i'm thinking you "might" have 2" left before your frame is sitting on the axle?

    Go measure...Its not hard :)

I will tomorrow lol ive looked and as of now i have maybe 2 1/2 ? I dont have bumpstops so thats given me a little more play room. But that also with my air shocks almost fully deflated bc the springs i had to put on hacked it up almost 2" above my tire..with the 4" bkocks. But yea im gonna measure tomorrow on even surface and let yall know. I too think i might but was seeing if anyone else has done it w/o the notch. If so is then ill get the bolt in

I'm pretty sure a notch will be required. Especially if you don't want to suffer from ESS.

Ok. Welk damn. I have 2" blocks but that would defeat the purpose of the 3" springs for the 7"drop...thanks guys for the info. Still gonna measure today n see

So i measured from frame to axle. I have exactly 4" left. Ive heard the the 3" leafsprings arnt exactly a 3" drop so maybe tgis coukd work? But im going to order the notches anyway to have them just ncase it dosent work

you will prolly end up with an 1" or a lil more which you will end up bumpn the frame/axle...may be alright if you have some good nitrogen shocks for cruisn around but when you hit a dip in the road frame will knock the frame.

You will hit !! Install a notch kit,I recommend you use a 8 piece notch so as can get welds at the side also !!

    Gotta notch it.

I'm running 4" blocks and 4x4 springs with a cut down shackle along with about a 2" mini notch and I still hit with good shocks. Bigger notch and new rear suspension coming soon.

If you think you may bag your truck at some time than don't do a c-notch,to small, do a 8 piece regular notch!! Do it once & do it right!!

^this. sounds like you want it as low as possible. If you're doing any mods tomframe you may as well go towards that final goal and save yourself from doing it twice.
