Hi. My question may seem a little mundane compared to what some people are up to, but I am hoping someone can help nonethless. (truck is 1991, 2wd, 22re, MT with some generic alloy wheels)

I have OE sized (195/75R14) Kumho Solus KR21 on 14 x 6 J wheels. The tires, according to the Kumho website have a rim width range of 5 to 6.5 inches, and this has worked fine for me.

I am looking to put old school steel wheels on and picked up a set that are 14 x 6 JJ. (I didn't realize they were JJ rather than J until I washed the brake dust off...) The size is clearly fine except that I don't know whether the JJ rather than J affects anything. My understanding is that the JJ rim has a different bead profile. The JJ wheels look somewhat different - and are a bit wider - than the J steel wheel on the spare tire.

So my question is, will the JJ work okay with the 195/75R14s? Anything I should be aware of?

    Thanks.

    Chris

Slap them on and go. You'll be fine.

    It should work just fine.

J and JJ are close enough to be interchangeable.

When your done Post a pic. I wanna see what they look like. I'm running into same problem. Going to the SR5 turbos and they are 14x6 (I think). My truck has a 2" drop and I wanna see how much wheel well I gotta fill.
