I'm new to the forum. My dad just gave me my grandfathers 1976 hilux. Right now it has 14x8 steel bullet hole rims. I like them ok for the time being. The tire size is 225 70 14. It rubs the fenders over big bumps. I have not measured the back spacing but I think it is 0. I was wondering what size tire would be flush to the rim or a tiny but stretched? Right now the tires bubble out. Any help would be very appreciated. Also I want to lower it about 3 inches.

Looked up tyre stretch. Didn't find why I was looking for. How would a 205 70 14 work on a 14x8? I'm sure someone here has done that or something close

I'm rockin 195/70 rear and 175/60 front. I wouldn't go too much bigger than 205

195/60 is good. More than enough meat

It's not to bad. Wish I would have went narrower for a little stretch look. Other then that I'm happy with it.
