Steering wheel restoration

    So I've read lots of write ups about restoring steering wheels... Putty, sand paper etc. the part I have not found much info on was paint. If anyone has restored theirs what kind of paint is used that is durable?

    Are you doing the stout one? Have any pics of it? Have you thought about putting a different style wheel?

    will post up picts later as I have to put them on photobucket, then link and dont want to do this at work.

    would rather keep the stock wheel for cool factor. with motor swap I may swap the entire column but we will see...

    biggest question is what kind of paint to use? needs to be durable...
