Might have to do a fender roll and pull. I'm doing 15x8 +25 here in the next month or so

Won't be that much work. I honestly don't think you will need a pull. But I've seen 16x8 and lower offset (spacers) with not that much fender work . So your best bet will be to just try it and see if you like it or not and how much fender work you want to do honestly

i think 15x8's should work well with a different offset. plus it depends what year he gets because i think older bodystyles are a lil narrower. my 15x8's rub my back fenders all the time and i'm only at a 4inch drop.

my 15x8's dont rub at all in the rear with my 4 inch drop, but my wheels are 20mm offset in the rear with a 195/50 tire. if i put a spacer and make then to 15 or 10mm offset then i can see them kissing the fender easily. upfront i have a big enough spacer to run the wheel at about -16mm with the same size tire and no rubbing yet.

    4-4 drop, 15x8, et0, 185/55/15

Front rubs the inner fender skirts while turning and going through a dip or over a bump.

The bump stops in the rear are cut in half. The axle hits the frame before the tires rub.

Crossmember hits the ground all the time.

oh that's cool... i run the same size tires but i guess the offset on my rims are a lil more out there. maybe i should try some 185/55 when my tires get bald again.

Yea that's what I was thinking, your offset is lower and it could be the brand of tire as some companies are a tad bigger/smaller then others.

going with a 6/6 drop you may want to run a 50 series sidewall on that tire. 60 will be too tall and definitely will rub.

iThink those beadlocks would look sick on lowpros:cool: they might be a lil heavier than aluminum rims but its worth it. i don't think many people run beadlock looking rims on dropped trucks
