Dude.. Nice, I hopped over to check this out after you hit up my thread.. Sick door panel,
I had no idea anyone else had the plates theme going on here, and have actually been thinking of doing this same thing to replace my door cards, probably even a console when I get rid of the bench. You have any pics of that center console to reference?

Well I still haven't gotten any pictures of the rest of the Toyota but I did cover the door panels in my 82 Datsun with beer cases and a few Fallout 4 cutouts. I'll post these here until I remember to grab some of the 78.

Haha yeah it was something to keep me busy for a while. It was fun too. I'm going to finish the rest of the interior in a month or so

Can you post a photo of how you notched the frame? I'm curious to see what your rear suspension setup looks like. Great looking truck so far!

All I did for the frame notch was take some 3" ID (i believe) pipe and cut it in half and cut my frame out enough to weld it in there. It was basically a home made in frame c notch, but it didn't do much because the cross member also hits the hogs head when it gets that low. I pulled the middle leaf and moved the overload spring to the top but I wouldn't recommend it. It makes the truck almost useless because it ends up being mono leafed in the rear. I put air shocks on it to make up for it and that is a good fix as long as you have an air compressor on hand and don't plan on hauling anything over a few hundred pounds. As of now, I've taken the Toyota off the road for the next few years and replaced it with the Datsun. I'm going to finish my Sonoma I'm working on now and then I'm going to bag this truck and rebuild the frame from the front clip back (but that will be a while from now).

Awesome work on the rack. It does look hard but you made it sound super easy.

Haha I'm going to finish the s10 and make it nice but I will never do another truck as thorough as it ever again. If my pops didn't have shop like he does I wouldn't be able to finish it.

Thanks man. Trust me I'm not painting it. Once I get around to bagging this one, the frame will be redone but the body will be the exact same as you see here.
