Brought this truck two months ago and now problem are coming this way!

    1st:
Alway have hard time starting even though it will turn over.
it will start but then die right away unless you give it a little gas.
And yes I have replaced the following:battery, spark plug wires, and starter.

    2nd:
Once engine are warm up it will idle at stop up and down.
Truck has no tachometer/rpm so I can't tell how bad the idle is.

    3rd
On warm day I keep hearing squeezing/scratching on right front right.
The noise goes away once you apply brake but come on when brake are not apply. Only doing this little under 40mph.

Last, there are other little problem but those I think I had it figure it out.
Sometimes I wish I never have brought the truck:lol::brickknock:

    Thanks in advance

if its carburator it might be that on mine my dad got the carb rebuilt but when u do a cold start or even when its stopped for like an hour i alays have to give 5 gas peddals for it to start right up and the engine in this has always had a sqeeking noise once u start it but it could be ur engine bands:shrug:

if yer talking about a not so subtle idle up, then right back down over and over on it's own while the truck is idling..........could just be vacuum, or maybe a couple switched. seemed like my '94 had that problem for a couple days after a rebuild and was fixed via vacuum run down.

    1. maybe its the cold start injector? could also be your injectors.(get a fuel system cleaner) maybe a bad afm? or tps sensor. also clean your throttle body.
    2. you gotta adjust your idle down, its hard without a tach but keep adjusting it and youll figure it out eventually.
    3. its more then likely a wheel bearing, second guess your brake pads are loose, try putting some brake lube on it and if it helps its probally the pads or the rotor.

    Will check it out.
Its funny cause it wasn't doing that before.

Can I test the injector or sensor?
    Where is the sensor?

Will get it clean and will adjust idle.

Found out that brake pads and brake shoes are nearly gone and a bad caliper.

Hmm well its hard to check the injectors without a special machine, unless somebody knows something i dont
the sensor is located on the right of the tb its black and has some electrical wires coming out of it

I would totally recommend getting a rpm guage though it makes adjusting anything on the engine much easier the cheapest ive seen is 30 bucks and it doesnt take more than an hour to install.

sounds like you got your work cut out for you. Good luck! :waytogo:

Oh okay. Looks like once everything else is finish I'll drop it at a shop to have them look at it.

I love to get one but all I see are the huge big ricer one.
And yes adjusting it make less idle.:clapping:

    Thanks.:clapping:

I gots no truck, for now

#1 and 2 sound like a vacuume leak. to try to save yourself money use your eyes and look for any vacuume lines broken or dis-connected. double check to make sure the clamps are on tight on the intake tube from the air flow meter to to throttle body and that nothing is unplugged from any vacuume sources.

#3 sounds like your break pad warning squeekers are hitting, time for some new pads, hopefully nothing else is broken like stuck caliper pistons, or that your rotor is under thickness. If the wear isnt even between the passenger and driver side pads i would reccomend replacing BOTH calipers.

    good luck
