Stained wood bed mod

    Hi all, new to the forum and just bought a 1980 pickup 2 days ago, so far I love it. Spent today installing a wooden bed and it cost me a total of about $30. Was a pretty easy/fun job and it turned out great. Wish i would have taken more pictures.     Welcome to TM! Nice to see another Toyota showing up here in the new year

    Cant say I've ever seen a floating plywood bed floor in a truck before - were you trying to hide some flaws underneath or just personalize it?

    There was no rust but it wasn't the prettiest lol. Mostly just to personalize it. Had most of the stuff to do it laying around.

    Beautiful Shepard. I have one also we go cruzin in the mini. She makes it feel even more like a mini in the cab:lol:

    I plan on using the wood siding for houses that they sell in sheets at home depot or lowes. It's got grooves cut in it so it looks like wood slats.

    make sure it's top surface is rust proofed...
