Picked me up some miata seats today for $35. It was 50% off today at the pick n save! Seen another 93 that had been gutted so i got to test fit the seats before buying! Awesome sauce!! Set them in and sat down n them.perfect level and plenty of room for a center console. I had the civic seats but they wouldn't have left much room for a good console so im going with the miatas. What yall think?

Ty. I cleaned them up last night. I HAD to have them when i seen them. Didnt plan on buying anything since the yoda was pretty much scrapped out. I have to do some slight tweakn of the brackets but theyll work.ill take pics n write it up when i get ready to put them in

dang that's a great price. almost can't even buy used floormats for that price, lol.

how thick are these seats in comparison to the civic seats? I used to have a Datsun single cab with a bench and when I swapped to buckets I sorta regretted it because I lost at least 1-2" of leg room due to the thickness of the backrest. Ever since then I wanted to know which donor vehicles with "thin" seats up front so I can avoid this if I decide to do it again, like on my 75.

The miata seats were smaller all together. After some lookn around and measuring some things...the civic seats weren't the best route. I mean they would work...but it would b tight. And the rails would have to be modified a little more then the miatas. Plus i like the look of the miata seats better lol. But as far as thickness goes...the backs about the same. The thickest part would be at the front of the seat. And depending the position of the brackets...your thighs might be too close to the steering wheel. Thats just my opion though

Idk what other cars/trucks would make good donor cars...hell i didn't even think about a miata seat until i sat in one to move it. I just happened to get lucky when i found these. I guess the smaller the vehicle the better the fit? Idk..but if i think of any ill let u know

I had beat up prelude seats w/ seat covers originally (the original owner installed) and I just swapped them for EK civic seats. The preludes were a little lower profile but the civic seats lean back further because of the way the headrest is adjustable. Both sets bolted up fairly easily in 3 holes with minor modifications.

Im 6'0 250lbs and im comfortable with them.

I got Accord seats in mine, or were they Civic seats...? It was one of the two. They look hella good but they sat me up way too high. I basically notched my floor and made the seats flat brackets so they would sit flat on the flattened notched floor. Now I think they fit perfectly.

I like your Miata seats btw.

Did you guys keep the belt buckle that bolts to the floor? Did the one attached to the new seats work?
