Well browsing through EBAY the other day I saw this head unit from a 2005 Scion. It was pretty cheap($30) so I bought it & installed it in my '94 yota. It was so easy to install. Just used the original factory brackets & it fit like a glove!! The only thing that I needed to do was to trim the radio bezel to make it fit. It sounds awesome...much better than the one I had before! I think it looks pretty good! I know it's nothing fancy, just something til I save up some $$$$ to get a better system! The only thing is the radio lights up orange & my gauges are green, but I think I can live with that!

 

Yeah, it looks good! You put it in the wrong generation, though. lol

 

Cool idea...look around on some Scion forums cause I think, but Im not 100% sure you can change the color of that unit. I know you can program it to do crazy things cause I did to one in my ex's TC lol! You can program it to have an opening comment when it first gets power.

ya you shoulda got the 08 09 head unit. its realllly nice but almost the same... you got a good deal though.. how did it plug in ?

 

Yeah I looked into that. Unfortunately the head unit I got doesn't change colors. The would be the next model up! I did however change the greeting message on it! Oh well I still like it! Thanks for the info...good looking out

 

well I went to the junkyard & picked up the original wire harness from a 94 toyota camry(only $1)...same harness. Wired up the harness & plugged her right in! Only took like 20 mins.

 

Yeah I'm saving up my $$$ also! But this will do for now!

I got a pioneer head unit for sale by the way, its a deh-p5000ub almost brand new very nice. paid 200+ 30 for ipod cable
