I just did a RV head crower stage 2 cam new head bolts torqued to 65ftp in a 3 step sequence. This isn't my first head gasket job. My? Is I've got a steady light to medium smoke. No oil/coolant mix plugs are dry nor have steam spots. Got heat and runs normal temp. goes like rapped monkey any ideas or just coolant build up in the exhaust from when I blew it the first gasket. I used OEM gaskets arghh driving me crazy

If you still have the catalytic converter on, its probably coming from that. Take it for a nice road trip and see how it is afterwards.

Yea I just finished it up couple hours ago no cat but my muffler is tilted for clearance. So guess I'll give it a longer drive. Hope it airs out cause its definitely steam but doesn't smell sweet and its sixty degrees in Memphis definitely not normal condensation given the amount

^ nice, take vids for us. I did pretty well when my truck had an auto. can't wait to autocross this coming year, but that may depend on where the airforce takes me.
if you have a camera, try taping it to your center rear view.

or if you have a rear sliding window.. tape it to that. easy to aim from the outside and able to hit record.

at least that's where i've have had placed my ipod touch 4th gen (has a camera).

I may consider getting a cam for the truck if i don't get a lexus v8 in the process soon.

    Still smoking?

    Retorque the headbolts to 90lb/ft.

Factory spec is way too soft IMO.

I would say surface preperation is key clean as possible
    A accurate torque wrench.
I prefer OEM headgaskets. Up to you tho on a nother I torqued my cam journal caps to 10ftp I think OEM is 14 .felt to tight yours may be different I go buy the if u can't move it buy hand it may be to tight other than a Haynes or chiltons manual I left few things out cause I'm on my phone and its slow ta death
