I just picked up 1976 Hilux and I'm in the process of sorting out the interior. I need a new shift boot as the old one is trashed. I've found a couple on ebay but they all ship from Thailand and from experience in can take forever. I saw it posted somewhere that an MGB 68-80 boot will fit which I also found on ebay but just wanted to confirm before I make the purchase.

Here's a picture of the truck just for fun.

I went to Speedway Motors and got a universal shift boot made for hotrods. Black nylon with chrome trim. Covers the shift hole perfectly.

Well I got impatient and pretty much ordered the part after asking the initial question. I've got it installed and it works fine although the MGB boot is not perfectly round, it's a bit flat on either side. Regardless it was cheap (13 shipped) and it looks fine which I think is the theme for this truck.

Thanks. It’s a bit oval so I wish I found something perfectly round but it works. I got it off eBay, it’s an MGB 1968-80 shift boot. I see some on eBay for 13 shipped still.
