This my be a silly question but, to those w/ bags and a 4 link what do you set your ride height at ? I'm getting ready to order my 4 link and was doing some measuring. I have mine set at 3.5" (ground to bottom of frame) the frame is level and it looks like the height of the front of my bottom bar (keeping the bar level) is going to mount somewhere at the top of my frame ? I've looked at a couple other builds and those all look to be near the bottom of the frame. The frame is Z'ed.

I have always thought that 5" of ride height is a happy medium. It really depends on how much lift you can get out of your bags which is determined by the design of your suspension and how firm you want the ride. Most double convoluted bags ride best at neutral position(think of a bag sitting on the shelf with 0 psi). Different size bags are also going to take a varying amount of air to lift to a given height. Also the less PSI the more flex or movement out of your suspension you are going to see when you hit a bump which can mean the difference between smacking the ground after/during a dip in the road or not.

You're on the right track by keeping the bars level at ride height.

Agreed. You also want to set regular ride height around where you can get a good alignment. That's probably going to be higher than 3". I'm not sure I've ever measured the height of the frame, but I'll check. I imagine it's closer to 5".
Also, your wheel and tire setup will affect the overall height if you try to run the bars parallel to the ground (which you should).

I've always decided that half the bags travel is a good starting point.

Thanks men. I think I'll bump it some and see where I'm at.
