Since buying my 95 Extended Cab Truck, I have grown increasingly obsessed with Toyota trucks. I have also begun to be very curious about the various RV models offered on the Toyota trucks from the mid-70s through the mid 90s. I want to buy one, but they are all over the place in style, options, models, etc. The later model ones with dually tires and the V6 seem like the way to go, but I'd like to hear any input from forum members.

Any models to avoid? Any advice re: engines, etc? There seem to be a fair amount of them here in TX and other nearby states (esp. FL, of course).

It seems like if you found a low mileage one for a good price, even if the camper crapped out on you, you could get rid of it and have a one ton Toyota w dual wheels! Seems like a win-win.
