Hey Guys! New here to TM.
What I have here is a 1973 Toyota Hilux 18rc
The truck was previously used for racing events off road.(which explains why the fenders have been trimmed/rolled) :D plus the missing valence

    Update!

I have gone to a local scrapyard last weekend to pickup some parts!
    Pickup List:
    Got a new Speedometer
    A new Valence
Hopefully this weekend I am going back for the fenders and doors!

I'll get a better picture of the valance tomorrow(just a few dings here and there)

I'm looking to go smaller on the tires as well, THE TIRES THAT WERE ON LAST YEAR WERE MASSIVE
Also planning to redo the whole interior as well
    Such as:
    Carpet
    Sound Insulation
    Seats
    Dash Cap

    Update

Hey guys, sorry I haven't updated in a while. Been pretty busy with school and work lately:p
Anyways just got back from the yard yesterday, unfortunately I did not pull off the fenders (they were just too beat and too much work to get them back in shape).
But what I did get today was
    1) A new window regulator for the drivers side( I used to use a wooden 2 foot block to hold up my window )
    2) Individual bucket seats from a 25th Anniversary 1996 Toyota Celica GTS (the seats are SUPER comfy)
    3) And a gas pedal!
Overall good day at the scrap

Never installed my valence yet :meemee: haha

Anyways what is still remaining would be the carpet, dash cap, and sound insulation for inside. Looking forward to find fenders and install some JDM over fenders, looking at some ZG's atm.

    Seats!

Worked on the truck in the past month.
Haven't had much time to update the forum due to all my school work.

Anyways what I have gotten done was get my seats installed.
I had to get the old seats grinned out because of the crap welds :mad

The Celica seats feel great in the cab. I used 3 inch spacers to raise the seats.
When i get to lower the thing I think I might lower the seats by maybe 1-2 inches as well

What's left for the interior is the carpet overlay, dash skin cap, respray my seats.
I'm looking forward to relocate my tachometer to the top of the steering rack and replace the instrument lights to white LEDs.
Still debating if I'm going to replace the steering wheel, I kind like the vibe of the old one ya know. Also looking forward to getting my inner headlights ambered like that sweet little Datsun

    Pictures (continued)

and moar pictures we gooooo. Heading the the yard this week to look for some fenders that arent crunched. Everytime i go to the yard the fenders i find are completely crunched
oh yeah did I mention that I recently crunched mine? oops. Also checkout those two pictures off instagram, i think the Soparo sword shifter is pretty neat. Its from a Datsun 521 Drift truck. Aiming for the headlight look like that 620.

    Front end completed

Finally completed my front end over the past month.
Had the passenger one on, then a week later i had the drivers on as well.
When i had them on i was rubbing like crazy. Went down to the tire shop and went smaller on the front tires, looking to get the other set for the back this weekend.
Also got a sweet dash pad with one hairline crack, looking to buy a skin cap for it.
also found a fuse box cover as well. RARE !!!

My offset is a little big. Glad so i dont have to buy spacers. have about 2.5 inches of tire sticking out. maybe a sign that i should get flares soon. also new lugs all around with lock nuts. Also if you look at the car wash pic, did you notice i got the huge front guard cut off? (look at the top of thread) and got that valence in too.

thanks man. btw would toxic drop shocks make me lower too rather than cutting springs/removing them?

no, changing shocks will do nothing for your ride height...."drop" shocks are usually shorter to fit in the shorter area from installing shorter springs...too prevent bottoming out of the shock or fully collapsing the shock fully. (no travel of shock)

    Springs determine ride height.
