Thanks! Believe it or not, its just an old Datsun 510 mirror I had laying around. I would love to put a set of Chevron mirrors on it if I could find a set.

I've been having fun with it taking it to spring time meets but this weekend its finally going under the knife. I have all the parts to do a front disc swap. Time to do it. (and yes, the rear bumper is GONE:clapping:)

Got the front disc swap done and man does it ever make a difference. About an inch of pedal is all it takes to stop. No directional pulling either. I put '78 discs, new upper and lower ball joints and outer tie rod ends. I think it widened the front track a little as well. Took it to an all makes car show this past weekend.

Just watched the Depth of speed video on Jalopnik, seeing your vehicles driving is pretty cool. You should post a link so everyone else can watch it.

Great work on both rides. The quality in build and style is top notch. I think you have captured the look that will never go out.

Thanks guys! It was an honor to have been filmed. My cars aren't perfect but at least they are out there on the roads.

The yellow headlights are actually stock with Krylon yellow stained glass paint on them. Old Datsun trick.

Just a cheap Thrush muffler and 2.5" piping (same as stock) I think. Needs to be redone actually.

I should probably let everyone know that my beloved Hilux is now getting love and attention in SoCal. A couple of weeks ago, I sold it to a friend that works for Toyota. It couldn't have gone to a better home and he will take great care of it. He fell in love with it when I brought it down to JCCS last year and kept reminding me that he had first dibs. He is not big on forums so if he doesn't chime in, I will update. The ladder rack and tools didn't end up going with the truck.

I haven't completely left the old school Toyota scene. My new project/daily driver is a 1973 Corona Mark II wagon. This thing is great and I love it. I can actually carry my kids and their friends as it is larger than my 510. I will most likely drive it down to JCCS this year and visit my Hilux.

If anyone's interested, here's more in my build thread:
1973 Corona MarkII wagon MX29. The saga continues

I will continue to come to Toyota Minis and keep dreaming about a 4 door 90's cab miraculously showing up in the states.:D -Duane
