Can i shorten the power steering lines on the yota. They have long u bends in them and the pressure line has alot of excess slack. Will it hurt the capacity of the pump to shorten them. Were can i get metric fittings to adapt to the pump and steering box? Thanks
i dont think that it would hurt the pump any, that what the resivour(sp?) is for. i used some pretty random lines picked out of the book at the parts store to do mine and get them out of the way of the steering shaft. really only the high pressure line is important the return side is just a rubber hose. but make sure you still have enuff slack so the engine can move and not strecth the line.
try http://www.alternativehose.com/ they have practically every size fitting made and could make the hose for you. they are on 35th ave. north of thomas in phoenix.
no problem i have to go in there alot for fittings on the mining trucks and other equipment i get to play with at work. they have always had what i've needed in stock.
