posi rear end

    1988 Toyota Pickup 4 speed Regular Cab
    im looking for a posi rear end for my pickup. does anyone know where i can get one, what truck or car i can get it off from. and i was wondering if a toyota 4x4 rear end will fit on my 2wd?

    Toyota 4WD rears are 8" and the 2wd are 7.5". You can buy a limited slip new from Precision Gear or you can get a limited slip out of a non-turbo Supra which would be 7.5". Not all Supra's have limited slip. You would have to take the guts out of that and put it in your 7.5 housing.

    the easiest and cheapest way for possi is to:
    weld the differentails
    this is the most common for people on a strict budget...
    but its not the safest.
    but i haven't had my rear end break yet"knock on wood"

    ive got one welded up diff for sale if interested :D

    its not the standard welded diff..... its VERY well done and known to hold up to a 300hp turbo pickup :D if interested PM me. ill let it go for fairly cheap.

    I would get a spool before I would weld the diff. But I find those to be really annoying. Especially around town. I can get Detroit locker stuff for them, but it's not cheap in any way.

    mines reads G022 and it has a detroit locker in already :)

    3.36 gear ratio? Never heard of it in a truck. Must be the first gen trucks?
