My brake pedal does not grab til about 3/4 of the way to the floor. I bled the brakes again to make sure there was no air. Had good pressure then after the truck ran for a few second I lost pedal. I know I need to change the clutch master cylinder as it is leaking into the floor. Do I need to change the brake booster or if I change the clutch master cylinder will that solve the problem?

master first. If the booster was weak the pedal would be hard to push, like when the car is off....

good luck. Make sure you bleed the master on the bench before you install it or else you are going to have a hell of a time getting the air out of the system.

I noticed today that I was low on brake fluid but no leaks. Could a wheel cylinder be leaking causing my poor pedal pressure? I am thinking I should just change the brake master cylinder and clutch master cylinder all at the same time.

you need to check your complete brake system for leaks. You will need to pull the rear drums off and check the wheel cylinders, check all the rubber lines between the calipers and wheel cylinders and the hardlines, and check the master for leaks. If you are not seeing leaks anywhere i would replace the master. Are you having problems with your clutch? those systems are seperate, with seperate resevoirs ( like 90% sure, im not sitting front of a truck right now )

I am losing fluid from the clutch reservoir and the brake reservoir. I know where the fluid from the clutch is going (I cam see it in my floor board). I looked over the brake lines and I do not see a single wet spot. So i guess I am gonna pull the rear drums off and check them in the morning.

Sounds like the brake master. Save some money and buy the Aisin replacement. I heard of horror stories of the aftermarket ones.

Pulled the drums off they are dry as a bone. Looks like I'm gonna change the brake and clutch master cylinder on my next day off. How bad are they to change?

Yes I know. They both are leaking so I am gonna change the clutch master since it needs it anyway.

My resivour leaks at the top of the master.

All the brakes work fine, but will loose enough fluid in about a month to trip the idiot light.

    Hope it helps.

Well I changed both the clutch and brake master cylinders. It took me about 2 hours to do it by the time I cleaned up the garage. My brakes never really worked properly so when I drove the truck the first time I about went through the winshield when I hit the brakes lol.
