so i have a 1990 3.0 v6 stake-bed dually and i was going about 50 on 4th and all of the sudden the truck just turned off. So my initial thought was GAS but, i have half a tank so i pushed it off the freeway and all the way to my house (far as F@ck). The engine turns but wont turn on.. it felt like it was a gas problem but the truck didn't spudder when it shut off. so then i thought it was something electrical but the engine turns sooooooo idk?

    what could it be

im having a mechanic come and check it out today.:doah:

First I would check for spark and fuel from what you described it doesn't sound like mechanical failure it can be electrical and the motor will still crank but not start distributer coil bad igniter things like that will keep one from turning over as we'll as not getting fuel .

You could have just broken a timing belt!

Muffler bearing failure will do that.

Hope its simple like the coil and not the timing belt.
