Anyone know where the parking brake sensor is? My parking brake light stays illuminated after taking off the brake. Tried looking under the dash to find the sensor but didn't see anything...and i don't know what it looks like. I know I can simply remove the bulb, but I'd rather have it functioning properly.

 

Its the switch at the brake ledal. 4 wires going to it. One or 2 are going to the master cylinder and the ebrake

Yeah I found it. I just haven't done anything with it yet. There are two wires coming off the very back of my ebrake shaft which I didn't notice before. Then those wires feed into a unit that is over by the brake pedal, like jetas mentioned.

I'm hoping I can see if cleaning up the contacts on the ebrake pigtail will help. If not I might have to replace the sensor. The brake light is the only thing lit up in the left gauge (has no backlight right now either) and annoys me.

 

Idk if yours has the wires going to the brake master cylinder but check there too.
