Greetings all, I have a '76 Toyota Chinook with a 20R and Weber carb set up. I bought it with this work already done and have been playing detective on several things since the purchase. I have determined that the oil has fuel contamination and I knew that the carb was running rich so I am not too surprised. I do believe these Weber's are known for that, but I would love some advice on how to approach leaning it out. Has anyone found what could be considered a proper jetting combination for these Weber's on the 20R? If so, where did you buy your parts and what was your approach? Thanks to all for the help, this is my first post.
I'm just starting to dig into this and find out exactly which Weber I have here and wether or not it was properly installed. The person I bought it from paid a shop to install it, but it sure is running rich. Any tips on adjusting or ensuring this carb is properly jetted? Are there any Weber diagrams out there with lean idle instructions or jetting instructions? I've floated the idea to a couple local shops, but they all seem lost on something so "old." That and they are like Weber? Nobody rebuilds carbs anymore.......sigh.
