So my '81 is has beat to hell seats and I want to replace with two buckets. Looking around I haven't found a exact answer or consensus on what is the easiest(least amount of work needed) seats to put in. Opinions?
Way back I had RX7 seats in my 82. I ran em a while but they sat too low and hurt my knees on long drives. Now I have 83 SR5 buckets and I love em. Very easy to bolt in and comfy.
Anyone in washington/oregon area happen to have seats that they would be willing to sell? I just went to the pull a parts around bremerton where I'm at and nothing I found seemed like what I wanted minus a way too expensive set of Subaru SVX leather buckets.
I'm in the Everett area, and I have a extra set of Celica buckets that I bought to put in my p/u. One of the members here found me buckets out of a 78 SR5 p/u that I put in instead. http://www.toyotaminis.com/forum/showpost.php?p=65388&postcount=65 If you're interested, I'll sell 'em. I frequently head over to the peninsula to visit friends in Shelton.
90-93 tegra bucket seats Check the pick*n*pull for sum tegra seats, this is wat im running up on minez:
I will let them go for $30 for both. In my '78, I was able to use the original front, outside hole, but I had to drill the rest. As for bolts, you should be able to use your originals for any of the holes that line up. I used the bolts I bought for the seats for my current buckets (truck was equipped with bench, so rear inner holes had to be drilled). The rest were used for other stuff. If you drill holes, the OEM bolts for these seats aren't long enough if you want to put a lock washer on it, and you'd still have to buy nuts for the other end.
Sounds good, let me know when you are in town next. PM'd ya my message just send a text or call, the names Jacob
