Just installed this Momo polished aluminum sphere shift knob and wanted to know what everyone thinks. It is held on with a rubber insert and set screws which I'm not too crazy about may put in a threaded insert later, I know american shifter.com makes them, ours is 12x1.25 mm just fyi.

Please comment on this, I am not putting up this thread cause I'm bored, I want everyones opinion! I know its not a huge mod, but its still a mod.

I installed a billet polished 6" rear view mirror last week and 44 views and not one comment, I guess it just sucks

Looks good. I like stock/original looking stuff more, but if I didn't, that MOMO knob would be the route I'd go.

P.S. My build thread lost interest too. Especially from me, haha.

I think it looks cool ... I bought a polished chrome shifter knob shaped like a mini piston and i thought it looked really sharp but after a few weeks of driving it started coming loose ... The problem is that the rubber insert only held those little set screws for so long and you can only tighten them so much 'till it just doesn't hold anymore ... I threw the original on for driving and put the chrome one on when i show the truck ... I like 'em ...

Thanks for letting me know this, I am going to go ahead and order the threaded insert and keep it on hand so I will have it when this comes loose which it sounds like it will eventually.

Very cool, Pete!!! I had a Hurst t-handle shift knob on my truck for a few years until I recently switched over the this leather TRD knob. And before that, I had a leather Mono shorty that
    required the 3 set screws.

    Keep up the good work!!!
    Rick

Looks good. Mine's an automatic, so I couldn't use one (without a button on it).
Still, if I had a stick and that were offered to me, why not?

I went with the small leather momo shift knob to match my momo steering wheel.
I had a polished alumanin in one of my other cars. And in the summer it's gets HOT!!! I had to shift with a shirt on it. And on winter morning it would be frozen.
