friggin blown trans. 5spd W52 out of my '83 2wd toy p'up that has a 22R carbie. Id like a celica manny, from the 70s. Would they fit? if not, what will, prefferably not geared for hauling, loads that is?
Wow... that sucks... you find buried treasure and it's got an issue. There's always a catch. Good luck.
i just did a w56 swap in my 80. It was a complete bolt in swap didnt have to cut drill or do any thing.
Patience pays off i ended up searchin for a week all over the place. Found a few here and there, Texas, Fla., Ind., But the shippin was rediculous. So i got the bright Idea, dont know why i didnt think of it before, to call around in PA ( i live in jersey), and found one that had been sittin on a shelf for `14 years, best part, only an hour and a half drive, and ONLY 100 BUCKS!!! I slapped her in last weekend and she's runnin beautifully. The orig. one was bad, cuz its like driving a totally different truck now. I must of called 50 different places, but it was worth it.
