I was in the engine compartment the other day and noticed a mark on my distributor like it has been moved before. So I decided to move it back and now my truck runs alot smoother than before. I then got out the timing light to see if the timing was set right. I jumped the e1 and te1 on the diagnostic thingy and found my timing to be at about 16 btdc. So I tried to set it at 5 but it got worse. My mark jumps around alot too when I try to time it. Anyone got some suggestions??? Could my TPS be bad?

Probably due to the wear a 21 yo engine would have.

    How many miles?
    When was the TC replaced?

I'm gonna do the double timing chain conversion from LCE I heard a slight rattle from my chain when I first start it.
