So we put new taillights in and the blinkers work on the driver side, but on the passenger side, it blinks once and stays lit. we put in a new switch and fuse and even a new hazard/blinker relay and the problem is still there. Also, when my headlights are on normal, the two outsides are on no problem, but when i turn on my high beams, all lights are on except for the driver side outside headlight. any tips/ ideas?
All the lights on these trucks ground through their mounting points. Id say pull the lights make sure everything is grounded well As for the high beam deal, the low beams are dual filament. The high beam filament might be out and youll need to replace the sealed beam
X2 on checking grounds. hey you're in Roseville. I've seen a few others here from Sac area. We should all try to get a classic Toyota rally going sometime.
Haha, my truck has been sitting too! Then last weekend I decided to use it as a truck, I hadn't started it in about 3 months and then I drove it further than I've ever driven it to date - drove it up to Auburn loaded down with a haul in the back and it handled it like a champ. Heck, my wife even took a ride in it which was the big surprise since she just rolls her eyes every time she sees it, lol
Is there a way to check the ground on each light bulb location with like a voltmeter or a 12v test light?
Get a good jumper wire with alligator clips. Set one end on a good ground, the other end to the light housing. If the bulb lights, it's a,bad ground.
