In and wired. Two of the tiny mchine screws broke, so I drilled them out, and replaced them with studs.

The new lights look great. I like the idea of the stud, feel like you will not have that issue again. What are the lights from? I have not seen that style before.

First measurement was taken when I was very sick and was not thinking correctly (even though I did the same exact thing before(to one of my audis), I forgot something important). Anyway...

The carb was completely cleaned up and rebuilt. Installing tomorrow:

On the best note, Truck ran great for 20-30 minutes driving around my house, up hills, many stops, etc. Stopped to take the photo:

Then headed home, up a larger hill went fine. As it flattened it stalled. Then didnt want to come off idle again. Thought MAYBE it was out of gas, but it did idle up the flatter hill, all the way to the corner, then coasted down and into my driveway.

It IS back on the ground, brakes work great, height looks perfect. Thanks to my friends of all of the random help. At least she looks pretty.

To 7m, or to carb it. That IS the question...

I cannot find my hilux repair manual, so I am dead in the water.

I want to verify the vacuum line locations, the timing and which adjustment is the cold idle adjustment. Anyone?

Also, the adjustment (bowl?) at the front for the carb? Kind of under the front of the carb. I noticed the level of the bowl at the sight glass was just under half. So I did adjust that lower front screw, which seemed to raise the level and cleared up the hesitation off idle but have not taken it for a spin yet.

I saw some posts on the A/F adjustment on pirate4x4 and changed it. It was out a TON.

    Thanks a bunch guys.

get rid of the stocker man!! buy a weber and end the headache.

for the vacuum diagram, I suggest printing the parts diagram they are still available from toyota. It will show you where all vacuum lines go. Or, ditch all the vaccum garbage and run a weber.. did I say to get a weber?

timing stock should be at 8 @ idle. disconnect the vacuum to distributor and cap it, make sure the truck is warm.

Can anyone let me know where the horn is supposed to be? Mine is MIA and I do not know where it is supposed to be. I am sure the wire and connector are still there. Thanks in advance!!!

And the truck is fixed! The carb tuning I did last week worked out great, just had to reset the timing today and then had to turn down the cold idle RPM. New tail lights are installed and blinkers are repaired (bad flasher).

Drove from my house, to my old house, then to a friends, then then another friends work, then back home. Not one stall, and just a tiny hesitation leaving a light one time. Woot!

I DID find and correct the horn issue, thanks for the location tyrap!!

Took the front end apart, saw it (once the grill was removed) but could not access it until the lower bodywork was removed.

I did verify the wiring, but it was not allowing enough current run my new horns. I Took the steering wheel apart, cleaned the button connections and installed a relay to switch ground. Works like a champ.

I picked up a set of FIAMM horns with a bracket. Bent the bracket so I could mount it to an existing bolt. Very loud, wow. No more toyota "beep", heh.

Well I have been driving it a bit, but since it's "done" for the year, I put this in my storage garage and brought back my st185 for its repairs and upgrading.

Removed the OEM ST185 exhaust, and will try and use the resonator (possibly the muffler) on the truck.

Wel, getting back to planning this spring out. I did forget to pull the bench seat to get reupholstered, but will get to it once I get the cars out of the way of the passenger side (the photo is before the other two cars were in there).

Runs great with a full tank, but 1-2 gallons down, it starts to pull the same crap again. So either the pickup tube has a hole in it, it is bent or ___________.

I am going to pull the bed, yank the tank, replace the wiring, OEM fuel pump and if need be recoat the inside of the tank. I also have a new level sending unit so hopefully my gas gauge will finally work. Other than that, I do plan on just driving it some more.

Truck looks great! What are all those other cars in your storage? Why no love for the Hilux and put a cover on that one too?!

Question for you - I'm looking at people's wheel/tire/lowering setups and was wondering if you used Mighty Max springs or the Dodge springs for your front end? Do you know the specs of your tire/wheel combo? Aside from you being too low initially, notice any other issues?
