An LS isn't all that heavy in terms of engine weight - especially considering how heavy the iron block 8/18RC's are. Those old Toyota 4 cylinder engines are heavy.

polie.boostt on Instagram put an LS in his 1st gen. Hilux. He might have some answers for anyone considering the swap.

Oh I agree that the LS engines are light as hell and a swap I'd love to do. Whenever I see SBC I always assume the pre-LS small blocks which were all iron block and usually iron heads so it gets super heavy

I mean anything can be done given enough time and money  Front half the frame and make a custom suspension or mounts for a suspension for a different car and get a steering rack and you can do pretty much anything you want. There's room in the bay for the engine it would appear, especially if you cut the inner fenders and re-did them. Just not the frame.

    My bad it's a 68 stout with an ls1

It was at torquefest 2014. Don't know anything else about it. That whole show is a alcohol induced blur[IMG]

Oh I've seen that on instagram before! seriously impressive. If you search LS1 stout on youtube it comes up doing a burnout with a goPro mounted to the side of it looking back at the tire.
