i think i have the basics of the hotwire down. pretty simply concept. but before i go about that ima try a screwdriver and break out the tumblers.

Hot wiring that truck is easy. I had to do it with mine. Just pull the switch out and the posts on the back are labled.

pull the glove box lock cylinder and or the passenger side door key cylinder
KEY CODE is on the cylinder itself. Take that to a dealer and or locksmith and they can cut a key

told my dad about my dilemma, he came up with 13 toyota keys from his past toyotas(my dad being an enthusiast as well). no hot wiring was needed. i found one of those keys works as smooooth as stock. door locks and all

i was gonna say to dig up some old toyota keys. theyre pretty universal after things are so worn down after 30 years. my key starts most mid 80s and back toyotas. the key to my 92 works on the rest.
