What do you guys think? Will these tuck in the wheel wells on a 1994 pickup with 4 inch drop. I have 16x8 with 0 offset now. These are 16x9 with a 17 offset. Should I run a staggered 16x8 15 offset in front and 16x9 17 offset in the back?
F*ck it...I ordered 1 16x9 to test fit and be done with the guessing. They arent available local and finding rims to fit the way I like for this truck is a pain in the ass. I have been looking at these rims for months and I was going to order them until a deal I couldn't say no to fell in my lap for the rims I have now.
And there it is! Just found this pic online. Looks sweet. I wonder if I can pull it off without the 4x4 fenders? these are 16x9 all around or I could go staggered with 16x8 upfront.

dude your truck is dope! what wheels are you running right now? I've been looking for wheels for a while now. I also have a '94
Thanks man...XXR 002 (no longer made in 5 lug) are whats on the truck currently they are 16x8 0 offset all around. The new wheels Im looking at are Klutch Racing SL1 16x9 with a 17 offset. There is a 4" lip on the 16x9's they look similar to a Starion wheel offset to me now that I have seen them on a truck. They also come in various other sizes in 5x114.3 lug as well. I had some issues looking for the style of rim I like in the sizes and lug pattern i have been looking for. Im looking more at 15" and 16" rims for my truck and I like them old skool deep dish. XXR and Klutch both offered 5 lug deep dish styles I liked. I like my XXR's especially because I got a great deal on them brand new old stock on Ebay. But honestly they were my second choice over these and the ones I found came in red and I had to repaint them silver. I can get these black, silver, or black bronzed and they have the 4" polished lip that I like.
Im looking at mainly Lexus and BMW Staggered deep dish styles in 16 or 17 inch (same bolt pattern as us) right now.
Im still lookn around for some 17s with minimum 4"lip..mainly bc i have a brand new set of 17 tires to put on them lol
When u get them lets see em bc i was lookn at the black n bronze ones lol. Curious as to what they look like. I wanna do a hoonigan style yota
Was thinkn about these...i know theyre more for lifted trucks but that y im leaning towards them only thing i have to call them bc i believe its the wrong wheel in the advertisement. Looking at their chart it says these are 18s..but the ad is for 17s...sure hope its 17
Best part about the XXR's is they were $350 shipped for a brand new set of 4. I stole them! They were red though. I spent less than half the cost of the Klutch racing wheels. So I went that route and used the extra money for new tires. Now I cant stop thinking about the 16x9's. Im just gonna test fit one without mounting a tire and decide from there once and for all. If I like them I will buy a set of 4 and keep the extra as a spare. Im gonna keep the XXR's as full size spares and to change shoes every now and then. I could never give them up knowing I will never find them again.
Just out of curiosity, if I run 15x10's with belltech 2" drop spindles, 1" ball joint flip, and 3" blocks in the back do you think I'll have to roll my fenders?
That is basically the same drop as mine. Except I have 4 inch blocks. With the right tires and rim offset I think it will work. You might rub a little bit from time to time. Alot of people put fenders from a 4WD pickup that bolt right on and provide a little extra fender space for wider rims in the front. People also cut the wheel wells larger and add offroad aftermarket bush guard style fenders flares to clear the rims completely. How deep the rim is (offset) will make a difference on how much they stick out and how much more work you will have to do to make them not rub. Most 15x10 inch rims for our trucks are a negative - offset. I was considering going that route also, because I really like that style from back in the days.
