Fact. I just bought an msd HEI module with built in rev limiter to hook up with a jacobs super coil on my 89.

I had an msd 6a ignition box in my 78 and when it died I switched to a generic hei module and it made a big difference in how quickly it started and how smooth it ran across the board compared to the 6a.

same here, bought a crane hi-6 with matching coil lx-91. This is the setup LCE uses.. been proven and can be done cheap if you shop around. My setup was $245 shipped at my door
