I have a huge stockpile of parts and pieces from projects long gone. I go to the store for filters and oil that's about it.

Thanks for all the replies. I get a little carried away with mew builds. What I need is a reliable DD but It needs to be quick. Once I don't need this truck everyday I have huge plans for it, 1st gen runner body and a 2jz. That's when I'll be chasing numbers, but its going to be probably a year before that happens and when it does the hybrid goes into a sandrail.

I'm going to do what you said at the bottom there for now, what would your suggestion for valves be then?

I know a guy that got "white trash" tattooed on his pelvis. I think it's funny, had to tell you.

For valves, I'd just throw some stock 22r valves in your 20r head..

I used a tall deck early 22r block 20r head with stage five valve kit ported the head myself pro cam install kit, you dont need titanium retaners unless your running 7000 rpm all the time, stage 4 cam 22r rockers dual row timing chain and 45 side drafts. motor dynoed at 187hp 194 tourque

I need help with compression numbers. I've started the build and this is what I'm doing; lce stage 3 cam, 22r valves in the 20r head with supporting head work, I'm going with lce forged pistons at 30 over but I'm not sure what i want for compression..I was thinking 11.1 and I should be good with pump gas? I'm also not sure what a hybrids compression would be at with stock pistons

    Any help is appreciated

Also ill probably be going with a stock intake and upgraded(maybe a weber outlaw) down draft until I can justify the cash for side drafts and the new intake.

Is there a difference in the rockers between a 22 and 20 head? I was planning on getting the new rocker kit from lce along with the cam

What y'all think, I was looking for a block to build and came across this for pretty cheap. He got half way through his build and life happened so he needs the cash ASAP. Never run, cost me probably less than half of what I'd spend building it.

You could probably do it cheaper than that guy is asking.

When I did mine i used the basic stock style cast piston and sealed power rings, with refreshed stock rods, decked total of .024" (possibly more if previously done.) Estimated to be about 10.5:1 and she ran just fine. Pulled 6k+ daily and never missed a beat.

Total cost for what was mentioned was less than$400.
