i just got a set of 18x7.5 rims. They are chrome but its pealing in some places. I want to take off all the chrome and polish the aluminum. I know you have to sand it down, but i don't know the steps to do this and what grit paper to use,and what polish!...thanks

    polishing rims

Polishing is a long flow process. The wheels will need to be polished on a regular basis. if you live in the salt air of Hawaii it will be a constant issue. There's lots of nice colors for powder coating them. Black chrome is an excellent color on rims. Just my 2 cents.
