Anyone have one of these laying around, for an '89? Mine is tattered, so figured I'd try to find one. Not a big concern, but my engine bay is actually pretty tidy and the tattered hood pad is a bit of an eyesore.

Did find one on ebay, for $392. Not paying that. LOL.

It certainly seems like these are near impossible to find.

Ya those are going good to be very very hard to find at a good price...better off just taking it off completely. all it does is just insulated and noise reduction.

was this something that was an option on some Trucks or on the V6 models only? I dont recall ever see a pad on any of the trucks i have ever looked at? Maybe it comes from the 4runners?

Great question, twizted1. I would have to guess that it was standard equipment. After all these years, they probably just got beat up and owners eventually discarded them. I see no indication on the original window sticker that it was optional equipment.

I have seen them on 4runners, but I don't think my base pickup has one. I'll have to check.

I got one off a 4 runner. My 90 didn't have one when I get it. It was a little torn when I got it off the 4Runner but still used it

How about just painting the bottom with rubberized undercoating?
