As the title says, I bought LED 7" H6024 aftermarket headlights for my 81 Hilux.

After reading several reviews on various forums, people said they were a plug-and-play for older vehicles with H4 sealed beam bulbs.

However, once I got them, I found that's not the case.

When plugged into the factory harness, they do not turn on at all with the headlight switch. After testing each new light with direct power to the battery and confirmed they do, in deed, work, I started swapping the pins of the plug around.

I was able to swap 2 pins and get it to where the low-beams will turn on with the headlight switch, however, if I flip on the high-beams, the new lights just turn-off!

Is there a high-beam relay or something I'm missing? Is the fact that these are LED headlights and don't draw as much current as halogens causing an issue with a relay?

    Your help is appreciated. Thanks!

Plug in a sealed beam and see if it does the same. If it does then your truck is the problem
