Ok fellas...I have an issue that I just can't seem to figure out so I'm hoping you guys and/or gals can help. I got an 85 Yoter 22r 2wd that runs great at low speeds. If I hammer on it, about half way through 3rd it just feels like it runs out of fuel. The same as if I'm driving on the highway around 60-65 mph it just runs out till I slow down to around 50. I just don't get it. Any hwlp would be awsome. Thanks guys.

Yes as far as I know, the truck is bone stock. Aside from the static drop and dash change. I've been told to change the fuel filter but wouldn't it drop out according to r.p.m and not speed?

engine load...on the freeway you have a higher engine load... replace the filter...its a good cheap guess.

If its still the same, pull the top cover of the carb and spray carb or brake parts cleaner through the jet's to clean them out.maybe if you have and willing to spend sum $ cash on rebuilding the carb then just rebuild it or get it rebuilt.

After you change the fuel filter throw a can of "seafoam" in at half tank...

If it's a mechanical fuel pump it may be on it's way out...
