Front/Back size mismatch.

    If I put 215/70R14's on the back and 185/70R14's on the front, what kind of handling changes should I expect? I've only got two of the 215 studded snows mounted up, and I've got the 185 studded snows from the old Subaru wagon.

    The other option is to leave the 225/70R14 summer tires on the front.

    I wouldnt imagine much if any change. Lower sidewalk typically gives better stability. As its a 2wd no drivetrain issues.

    Just a little stinkbug effect just guessing even that wouldn't be too bad!

    where the rear sits higher then the front. also known as bulldog, rake, muscle car stance, ect...

    Just tried it in the slush with the 225s on the front and the studded 215s on the back. Not bad. I think I'll just leave it like that.
