Hey guys been a while, sold the 1977 last year. And I just came apon a 1975 Toyota chinook picked it up for free from a local. Camper is garbage but hey it's free and a toy sooo. I'm having a problem I'm leaking coolant all over around the carb area?!? Need to know if something wasn't done right, got a Weber off a friend started but now it's just pissing everywhere, coolant in my oil... help please! 20r 4 speed
Original carb had a coolant activated choke. After the weber swap make sure everythibg got plugged. Coolant in the oil? Head gasket. Or possibly worse, but start with the gasket
This is the way that I got it, I'm assuming it's not installed right... red hose that's going to the intake is what my problem is?

So little more info truck drove has 143000 miles. Got rear ended in 1995 camper got totaled out guy bought it back for $100 took the tires and rims let it sit till this year when I saved her from rotting, buddie threw a Weber on in exchange for amo reloading kit.
Is the res hose connected to a tube going to the back of the timing cover? If it is just figure out why its leaking. Probably just not sealing right
That's all I really know, but where is the coolant coming from! IMG_0068 by Prestin settle posted Jan 22, 2017 at 3:55 PM
There should be absolutely no coolant coming out from that spot. Theres really no way for the coolant to get in that area unless the intake manifold is cracked.and coolant would be getting into the cylinders The plate on the bottom of the intake is a coolant passage, you sure its not from there?
