im confused... are you are running the engine and taking the battery off.. its normal for it to stall this truck needs a battery in it.

or are you jump starting it with another battery and when you take the other battery off the truck stalls? if thats happening the battery in the truck is super dead or even shorted and needs a new battery.

i just bought the truck and after couple of days of using it battery when dead. so i bought a new battery> i left the engine running while swapping the batteries and engine turned off. so i was told that the problem might be the alternator but it has already been checked and still has the same problem

ya.. just put the other battery in without the truck running.. its going to stall EVERYTIME if you pull the cables off with it running.

If the battery keeps going dead with the new battery you might have a "parasidic draw" which means something on the truck is staying on killing your battery. could be as simple as a glovebox light or interior light, could be the alternator or main ECU ( if its an RE ) thats an easy test but i dont feel l ike typing it all right now if thats not the problem.

that means you need an alternator. Your truck is running off of the battery and the alternator isn't recharging the battery

Truck must be crap. Sell it to me.

If not re read what dillin wrote. The truck not going run without one battery. Try swap the batteries and see if it runs. If not ill give you $500 for it. Let me know.

And why would you want to change batteries with the truck running? Seriously? What The hell

Dude you should edit your first post and post all the information you can possible give the first time. Would make things easier.

A vehicle will run without a battery hooked up. It needs both an alternator and a battery to continue running. In his case the alternator isn't recharging his battery so the truck ran till it killed the battery.

i think you are confused. he removed the battery while the truck was running.

well i might be wrong.. the guy at work says it will run for a lil bit with the battery out. so either the parts guy is wrong which ive seen or he has a draw....either way someone needs to look at the truck for him .

13-14 is usually healthy enough, but im starting to suspect his alt isnt putting out any amps and barely is putting out enough voltage. bet if he ran it with his headlights n stuff on it would dip down into the 12's

I think he has a draw coming from somewhere. Or maybe a bad ground.
