ok this is an amazing story i'm driving on a mountain and my fan belt breaks and temp. goes from normal to red line in like a minute, then when i check the radiator it was empty but the reserve tank the antifreeze looked milky anyone one go a clue what wrong besides the fan belt i'll post more info tomorry
thank you feller maybe its just the head cause i would hate to buy a new engine but a new engine would be fun though
the timing chain may have eaten through the timing cover so all the coolant dumped into your oil, then the water pump froze from no lube and broke the belt. id start with draining whats left of the coolant (check for oil) and the oil (check for coolant). then i would do a compression check and a rad pressure check. best of luck to ya, heres hopin its just a ****e water pump and a dirty res
thanks for the help so today i went and picked it up and the water pump is locked up and the oil looks like good ol oil so i just ordered the water pump hopefully that will fix 'er up
i would wait to throw on the new water pump until you find out where the coolant went. would suck to find a new pump gasket if the T cover is bad. plus with the over heat (dont know how long it was hot) id be worried about a BHG. did you drain the oil?
ya i drained all the fluids out of it and oil looked good and the engine was only hot for less than a minute and if the timing chain ate through the cover wouldn't that make alot of racket
well i finally put a water pump on it and drove it around it drove good and no racket or nothing going on so hopefully this is gonna be my last problem for a will thanks everyone who gave there suggestions on the problem
so i today i figured out i only get 11mpg cause i ran out of gas a mile from the house coming home from school and of course dumb ole me forgot my fun and where i live everyone is a total pile of sh!t and so i had to walk a mile to get a jug of gas and walk back to my truck so any suggestionss beside a good ole fashion tune up
